Talking to Each Other 我们怎么沟通

6.1Day to day 平时

Once a week, a short chat

Fifteen minutes at the weekend — what went well, what was hard, and what we each want to change. Yours matters as much as ours.

Say it at the time, not later

If something bothers you or confuses you, telling us then is far easier than carrying it around.

Write down what you keep forgetting

The memo pad behind the kitchen door — wherever suits you.

6.2When something unusual comes up 碰到特殊情况

If you are unwell

Tell us the same day. We will find cover and let you rest — the home can wait.

If we have guests or something unusual

We will give you at least a day's notice so you can plan around it.

If too many things land at once

Go by the order in section 1.4, and just tell us what had to wait.

If we add something ad hoc

Sometimes there will be extra, ad hoc tasks that are not on the day's schedule. When that happens, you do not have to stick to the schedule as written — adjust it and deal with what matters first.

If this guide needs changing

We look it over once a quarter, and properly at the end of the baby preparing period and again after the baby arrives.

Thank you for reading this through — and for looking after our home.
